A year of transformation and growth.

The Route 61 Impact Report for 2023 showcases our incredible achievements, the hurdles we’ve overcome, and our aspirations for the future.

Our goal is to realise lasting change in individuals living in disadvantaged communities in Kenya through mentorship, strengthening family relationships and training.

One standout feature of the report is how we’ve adopted a polycentric organisational structure. This has empowered local decision-making and provided a solid platform for effective collaboration, all while respecting autonomy and diversity. This innovative missional structure enhances our sustainability and our ability to adapt and respond to the ever-changing needs of a majority world nation.

The report also highlights our impactful work in family reunification and supporting children in statutory children’s institutions. It shares heartwarming stories of how children have been reunited with their families and documents the critical, holistic support needed for successful, lasting reintegration into society.

While we celebrate our successes, we also acknowledge some of our challenges. The report emphasises the ongoing need for strategic partnerships and more significant resources.

As we look ahead, we aim to expand into other communities struggling under the weight of poverty. We intend to offer educational programmes and establish support groups to encourage and promote healthy community transformation as we empower local leaders through our polycentric mission model.
